Free website checker

Get a surface score, six-category breakdown and selected issue previews from your public website in about 60 seconds. No signup or card.

What you get free

Six result categories. A starting point for your next fix.

Enter your public website URL and get a surface score, category breakdown and selected issue previews in about 60 seconds. The scan reads the homepage and selected public resources; it does not examine every URL. Use the result to decide what to investigate, rather than treating the score as a clean bill of health.

Visibility

Homepage title, structured-data presence, canonical and social metadata, crawler directives and sitemap signals. These show what the request could observe; they do not establish your Google ranking.

Trust

Public privacy-policy, contact and related trust signals. Finding a policy link does not establish legal compliance or whether the policy reflects your data handling.

Technical Health

Homepage response, HTTPS and selected HTTP security headers. This is a surface configuration check, not a penetration test, vulnerability assessment or measured loading-speed result.

Reputation Signals

Visible social proof, linked profiles and relevant local-presence signals. This samples what is on the public page; it is not a complete review-platform or sentiment analysis.

Hiring Signals

Public hiring language and careers destinations when relevant. A website with no hiring intent should not be treated as defective simply because it has no jobs page.

AI Readiness

Public AI-related language, crawler access and machine-readable content signals. The experimental llms.txt convention may be inspected. These signals do not measure actual AI mentions, citations or internal AI adoption.

Turn a signal into a useful next step.

These are illustrative examples of observations the quick-scan engine can make, with follow-up questions to help you verify them. They are not results from your website, promised performance gains or screenshots of a paid report. Your result depends on the evidence available during the request.

Homepage title not found

Observation: The returned homepage HTML contains no title element.

Verify and act: Inspect the page template and add a descriptive title if it is missing. Recheck the returned HTML and the rendered page; this observation alone does not prove the site cannot rank.

Privacy-policy link not observed

Observation: No policy link was found in the homepage HTML or at the public policy paths probed.

Verify and act: Check whether a policy exists elsewhere or is added by JavaScript. If a policy is needed, ask the person responsible for data handling to review its content and make it easy to find.

Content-Security-Policy header absent

Observation: The homepage response does not include this HTTP header.

Verify and act: Ask your developer to review a suitable policy and test it against the scripts and services your site uses. An absent header is a configuration signal, not proof of an exploitable vulnerability.

What to do after your free website check.

  1. Read the sampled categories and selected issues. Check whether each issue matters to your website and business.
  2. Open the affected page or resource and reproduce the observation. Record anything the request could not establish.
  3. Assign the most relevant fix to your developer, marketer or business owner. Verify the change before relying on an improved score.
  4. Choose a deeper assessment when the brief needs more coverage: a technical crawl, performance investigation, specialist review or the full AuditHQ report.

The full AuditHQ audit uses a catalogue of 585 checks across nine suites. Applicable checks and available evidence determine the findings. It adds deeper reporting and an action plan for handoff; see the current plan for PDF, branding, usage and other inclusions.

About the free website checker.

What does this free website checker examine?
The quick scan reads public homepage HTML, response headers, robots.txt, sitemap.xml and selected public paths. Its result groups those signals into six categories: Visibility, Trust, Technical Health, Reputation Signals, Hiring Signals and AI Readiness. It is a surface sample, with a score and selected issue previews, rather than a full website crawl.
Does a high score mean my website has no problems?
No. A score summarises the signals available to this scan. It cannot establish that every page works, your site is secure, your business complies with privacy law or an AI service will recommend you. A JavaScript-only page, a blocked request or an unavailable resource can also limit what is observed.
Does it measure Core Web Vitals or check every page?
This quick scan does not run a complete URL crawl or a real-user Core Web Vitals assessment. Use PageSpeed Insights for page performance and a specialist crawler for URL-by-URL investigations. The free checker helps identify public-signal issues to investigate first.
Do I need an account or card?
No signup or card is required for the public quick scan. Enter a publicly accessible website URL and view the result. You can decide afterwards whether to investigate the findings yourself or review paid audit options.
Will the website owner know I scanned it?
AuditHQ makes read-only public-web requests with an identifiable User-Agent and does not attempt to log in. The website operator may see those requests in server logs. Do not assume a scan is invisible to the operator.
How is the paid audit different?
The full audit draws from the 585-check catalogue across nine specialist suites, with applicability depending on the website and available evidence. It adds a deeper report, findings and an action plan. Review current pricing and plan inclusions before choosing; a paid report is still not a security or compliance certification.
