Review / comparison content but no positiveNotes / negativeNotes schema
This check did not observe positiveNotes or negativeNotes markup on content identified as a review or comparison. Confirm that the page is an editorial product review before treating this as a missing enhancement. Google limits its pros-and-cons search appearance to editorial product reviews; merchant product pages and customer reviews are not eligible for this feature.
Why this matters
For eligible editorial reviews, structured data can describe the advantages and disadvantages already visible to readers. Missing these properties is not a ranking penalty or proof of lost clicks. Google may identify pros and cons without this markup, and valid markup does not guarantee a rich result or a traffic increase.
How to fix it
First confirm the page reviews a specific product editorially and meets Google's Product and Review requirements. Use a Product with a nested Review, then add positiveNotes and/or negativeNotes as ItemList objects. Within each itemListElement array, use ListItem objects with name text and a recommended numeric position; do not supply arrays of plain strings or an ItemReview type. Provide at least two statements in total across the positive and negative lists, matching the visible review. Do not invent a disadvantage just to populate both lists. Test the complete page in Google's Rich Results Test, fix applicable errors, and inspect the deployed URL in Search Console. Monitor actual search appearance and clicks after crawling. If the page is ineligible, do not add misleading review markup merely to clear this finding.
Check your pros-and-cons JSON-LD
Paste the JSON inside your application/ld+json block to check Product > Review > ItemList structure. This runs in your browser: no upload, URL fetch or signup. It does not check every Product or Review requirement, visible content, Google eligibility, indexing or rankings.
