Article/news-style page without optional Speakable markup
This check flags article, news, podcast, story or press-style pages where no Speakable structured data was detected. Speakable identifies selected page sections suited to text-to-speech, and Google documents it as beta and limited to specific Google Assistant and news contexts.
Why this matters
Missing Speakable markup does not make the page invisible to voice tools and does not prove an audio audience or distribution channel is being lost. It is only a possible enhancement when the page has concise spoken-answer content and a supported consumer matters.
How to fix it
Use Speakable only where the page has concise headline, summary or answer text worth exposing to supported text-to-speech experiences. Validate selectors and keep them accurate as article or episode copy changes; otherwise document that the omission is intentional.
