Multiple pages reuse the same meta description

A meta description is the short snippet of text Google shows underneath a page's link in search results. This check looks for the same meta description text being reused across more than one page. On this site, several crawled pages share an identical meta description.

Why this matters

A generic, repeated description cannot describe the specific content of each page, so it may make search listings less compelling and could reduce how many people click. Google may also rewrite the snippet itself. Fixing this affects only pages that already appear in search.

How to fix it

Your marketing team should write a unique 150-160 character description for each affected page, summarising what that specific page offers and including a reason to click, ideally naming what makes it different from the others sharing the duplicate. Budget about fifteen minutes per page once the list of duplicates is confirmed.
