Largest Contentful Paint image is not prioritised for early loading

Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) is the moment the biggest, most prominent piece of content on the page, usually an image, finishes loading and appears on screen. Google's PageSpeed tool identified the specific image causing this site's slow LCP, and found that the page does not tell the browser to fetch it early, with no fetchpriority="high" and no preload instruction, so the browser discovers it later than it should.

Why this matters

Because the browser finds and downloads this image later than necessary, visitors may wait longer for the page to feel loaded, which can worsen your Largest Contentful Paint score, one of Google's Core Web Vitals. This finding targets the exact image Google flagged as the LCP element, rather than a general guess.

How to fix it

Your developer should add fetchpriority="high" and/or a preload instruction for this specific image, and make sure it is not set to load lazily, meaning deferred until scrolled into view. This is a small, targeted code change, usually under an hour.
