External presence search not run (search API unavailable)

This reference explains a report limitation. If an audit records this status, its external-presence search did not produce a usable result. It is not a finding that the business lacks review or directory profiles, and this public page does not establish that your own audit encountered the status.

Why this matters

An unavailable source leaves that part of the assessment unknown. Treating the status as a negative reputation verdict would confuse missing evidence with a business problem. Other completed findings should be interpreted using their own evidence.

How to fix it

Review the affected audit and its recorded source status with the authorised owner. Confirm which search evidence is missing before deciding whether a retry or a manual check is needed. Record any verified profile URLs separately. Do not create new listings or change the website solely to clear an unavailable-source status, and do not assume a later run has resolved it without checking that run.
